Odiri Faith Itoje
Odiri Faith Itoje is an experienced Building Surveyor who has always had an interest in the construction and property industry. From a young age, she was exposed to the construction trade through her father while she helped and watch him around the house. At the age of 18, she took an unusual turn and decided to venture into residential property management instead of pursuing an undergraduate degree. She worked as an apprentice for two years at a top residential management company in the City of London when she then transitioned into a more technical role and pursued a career in building surveying and was sponsored by a company to complete a RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying whilst working full time and graduated with a 2:1 in 2017.
She undertook her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and became a Chartered Surveyor in 2019. She has since worked in corporate and private companies and gained experience and expertise ranging from residential, commercial, and industrial properties within and outside the United Kingdom. At the age of 22, during her time at university, while juggling her education and work as a building surveyor, Odiri decided to start a business specializing in the cleaning and maintenance of residential and commercial buildings. She attended networking events such as Business over Breakfast every week at 6am to pitch her business and meet small business owners. Soon she made connections with estate agents and several private landlords in Croydon and surrounding areas, she proceeded to hire staff and eventually gained traction with managing agents and developers in London.
Her experience in the property management industry gave her an insight into the need of property managers and she was able to bridge the gap and provide trustworthy and reliable services that believed solely in delivering excellent service and nothing less.
In March 2020 she decided to rebrand her business; now known as ’Spectrum' and included extra services, from surveys to real estate. Odiri’s Expertise, Creativity and firm commitment to process, growth and learning have allowed her to reach remarkable milestones in the industry and a wider scale.
Beyond her Professional achievements she’s actively involved in charitable endeavors and strongly believes in Give-Back focusing on education, women empowerment, equality and breaking barriers and stereotypes revolved around the feminine gender limiting them of their capabilities and achievements.
